Ahh the good old days, back in the early 90's, when life was good and fashion was bad. Super Soakers were all the rage, and Lonnie Johnson-[creator] was getting richer by the hour. These colorful water pistols were the delight of many children, and adults alike…[your summer just wasn't right if you didn't own at least one], and you were really killing the game if you had the one that came with the extra 80 gallon backpack…[I did]
Then you had the bad a$$ kids who put bleach in them, and attacked people [some folks always gotta mess ish up]—and your parents didn't want you to play with them for fear that you too would become a victim of a 'drive-by' . Unfortunately with all the real life gun violence going on these days, the innocence of kids playing with water guns is gone. *sigh
Super Soakers are definitely on my Top Toys of the 90's List.
I could go for one good water fight before summer ends
