Spike Lee wrote a sequel to his hit 1988 film but the project can't get funding, so it is on hold for the time being.
He says, "The film takes place at the same college but 25 years later, but the powers that be didn't want to tell that story. It was gonna have Kanye in it and Alicia Keys."..Source
So let me get this straight,the New Jack City sequel-[which sounds like trash] gets the green light, but School Daze II-[which actually sounds cute] gets put on pause.
Hopefully someone will back this for Spike, he's an awesome director.
Also, I don't know about Kanye playing a lead character-[not yet], but I could so see Alicia Keys being a 'Gamma Ray'
