Heres a clip of the pilot for Kanye's new show for Comedy Central. It's called Alligator Boots, and it appears to be a Hip-Hop/Comedic remix of the original Muppet Show. West is one of the executive producers of the show, along with Rhymefest, if picked up it will hit the air in 2009.

I agree with this quote, although when I initially entertained the idea of blogging, I was a bit apprehensive since I don't enjoy writing. I enjoy words, grammar, reading and all that, but I'd rather verbalize my summary than sit down and pen/type it out.

The 'gotcha, gotcha' is part of my degree focuses on Journalism, and I'm also employed by a publication.. BUT i hate to write! Lol..makes no sense-[ at least thats what everyone tells me]

Maybe I'll venture out soon and give you an entire article on some interesting topic-[I have a ton] as the blog develops..we'll see

The 'Tsunami' is over..

Isis Tsunami is the latest contestant to be chopped from Tyra's runway. -[ i was over it last week when they sent Britany home]Although I thought her photoshoots were decent, Isis didnt really make many waves on the show beyond being the first anatomically male competitor-[Tyra needs more!]

I thought she wouldve made it alot farther than this, but I do feel she set a good example for her community and meshed well with the other girls, instead of being a spectacle that some people were expecting. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Ms.Tsunmai in the future.

McCain issued a statement today saying that he would be suspending his campaign until a bailout was reached for the economic turmoil that is going on right now.

Both he and Obama were summoned by President Bush to attend a meeting at the White House on Thursday concerning the current state of the economy.

Obama is prepared to proceed as planned with the debate. He says:
"It's my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person will be the next president," Obama said in Clearwater, Florida. "It is going to be part of the president's job to deal with more than one thing at once. It's more important than ever to present ourselves to the American people." ..CNN

Sounds like McCain is either stalling or he has an ill strategy. Either way, it's time for him and Obama to face off. The clock is ticking

School Daze Sequel: Kanye West & Alicia Keys...

Aint happening!-[at least for now]
Spike Lee wrote a sequel to his hit 1988 film but the project can't get funding, so it is on hold for the time being.

He says, "The film takes place at the same college but 25 years later, but the powers that be didn't want to tell that story. It was gonna have Kanye in it and Alicia Keys."..Source

So let me get this straight,the New Jack City sequel-[which sounds like trash] gets the green light, but School Daze II-[which actually sounds cute] gets put on pause.
Hopefully someone will back this for Spike, he's an awesome director.

Also, I don't know about Kanye playing a lead character-[not yet], but I could so see Alicia Keys being a 'Gamma Ray'

Welll I listen to [97.9] a Dallas based station in the AM while at work-[they have a great music selection & the Rickey Smiley Morning Show]-which is where I 1st heard the song. I did some research and this is what I uncovered:

Texas native & Prairie View University student 'SupaSTAAR' recorded a song where he compares his ideal female to the banger that is Ms. Halle Berry.He penned the song, along with producer Dorrough Music, and put it on his Myspace page, where it caught flames and has created a major buzz for him.-[ dont sleep on the 'Space]. He says he got his inspiration for the track while trying to 'holla at' a female on campus at Prairie View.The song has gotten so popular that it even hit the Billboard Top 100 at #85-[i'm impressed]

Another person on the verge of 'stardom'[i use that term loosely]-thanks to the internet.Only in America..

I chuckled when I saw this, but this is actually a common occurrence in Philly. I've seen entire living room sets on the sidewalk, video game systems rigged up, the whole 9, all in the midst of the public trail.

Travis Barker & Dj AM survive Plane crash

Travis Barker (L) and Dj AM(r), were involved in a tragic plane crash late last night. 4 people were killed in the crash, but AM & Barker are reported to be in critical condition.

''Officials said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane hurtled off the end of a runway and crashed through antennas and a fence. It came to rest on an embankment across a five-lane highway and was engulfed in flames...''

Life is so unpredictable, I hope they pull through.

*Update: "Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are currently being treated for second and third degree burns. Barker suffered from burns on his torso and lower body and Goldstein suffered from burns on his arm and a portion of his head," according to the statement. "Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected."

Pharrell x Microsoft

Pharrell Williams is on deck as the latest celeb to appear in the Microsoft Windows Vista ads.The original campaign which started airing a few weeks ago featured comedian Jerry Seinfeld, but apparently he's been replaced by 'Pha-real'. [ Eva Longoria, and Deepak Chopra will also be in the new ads]
Microsoft is spending a cool $300 mill on this campaign, so I wonder how many stacks go to Mr. Williams?...He's on his BBC tip for real-[Billionaire Boys Club]

Hard Lemonade goes down Smooth

This Drink of the Day is courtesy of Food Network's Sunny Anderson. A few weeks ago she visited the Wendy Williams show, and she brought in a drink called Sunnys Hard Lemonade.It sounded tasty, so I had to inquire about the ingredients. I hit up her blog and she replied with the recipe.-[ she's great]

2 cups water

1 cup sugar

8 cups ice

4 ounces vanilla-infused vodka, recipe follows*

1 cup fresh lemon juice

1 lemon, sliced into rings

1 lime, sliced into rings

In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar to a simmer. Cook until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
In a large pitcher, fill with ice. Stir in simple syrup vodka, juice, lemon and lime slices.

*Vanilla-infused Vodka: 1 liter vodka 2 vanilla beans
Split beans lengthwise and add to vodka bottle. Let infuse overnight in a cool dark place. Strain into another sterilized bottle.

Summer Delights: Super Soakers

Ahh the good old days, back in the early 90's, when life was good and fashion was bad. Super Soakers were all the rage, and Lonnie Johnson-[creator] was getting richer by the hour. These colorful water pistols were the delight of many children, and adults alike…[your summer just wasn't right if you didn't own at least one], and you were really killing the game if you had the one that came with the extra 80 gallon backpack…[I did]

Then you had the bad a$$ kids who put bleach in them, and attacked people [some folks always gotta mess ish up]—and your parents didn't want you to play with them for fear that you too would become a victim of a 'drive-by' . Unfortunately with all the real life gun violence going on these days, the innocence of kids playing with water guns is gone. *sigh

Super Soakers are definitely on my Top Toys of the 90's List.

I could go for one good water fight before summer ends

Nike Presents: The Ultimate Glory, a shoe dedicated to the June 1996 bout between Mexican boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar De La Hoya. Nike will release 606 pairs at the Nike Sportswear store in Mexico City on October 3rd.
The elephant print is a nice touch, a bit of overkill on the red, but I'm sure they'll look nice on somebodies foot.
