Rihanna was recently spotted looking very retro, shoulder pads + lace shirt + long nails, it all screams early 90's... Shoulder pads and the ''power suit'' for women was uber popular in the 80's and early 90's
and lately quite a few designers have been playing with the big shoulder silhouette on the runway...
We all know that celebs have always influenced many fashion trends-[which has proved to be a good and bad thing]

Red Light Special
I'm assuming most people have had the pleasure of experiencing some live entertainment, in the form of a Skrippa' or Exotic Dancer'. Some love them, some hate them..but no matter what they are always a source of interesting conversation.
Kanye West and his latest love interest Amber Rose live in the blog headlines, if its not for something one of them is wearing, its relating to Ms. Rose's past relationships and profession. [google a bit to catch up on whats been going on]
Of course the over used ''you can't turn a hoe into a housewife'' moniker is being thrown around like a hot potatoe. I just think its interesting that females that strip are usually given the side-eye of disapproval, while men that strip are not given a 2nd thought. I won't even get into how unfair of a double standard that is when clearly men are-[and can be] just as scandalous as women...
I don't believe ''career choices'' should automatically measure a persons character which is why I don't judge people. I subscribe to the ''Do You'' motto by all means. But its always fun to have some good dialogue and toss around opinions.
So the question is:
'Would you involve yourself in a serious relationship with a stripper/exotic dancer'??
*and Not just sleep with or get ''a special'' from, but would a stipper or exotic dancer be someone that you seriously consider settling down with??

Its Joviiii Baby!:: Live at the Keri Hilson Event
Most of my days and weekends are just one big blur, I tend to find myself in the mix of a lot of the cool happenings around town. Of course this past weekend was no different. After accompanying my compadre to the Entertainment & Music Conference-[I was the 'assistant' during some celeb interviews], I took a quick pause and then headed over to Lucky Strikes for the Keri Hilson event later that night.
Ms. Hilson came through as promised, fashionably late, but did not disappoint. She jumped in the DJ booth and went through a few of her songs, got the crowd hype, then headed off to her lane to bowl a few strikes-[pun intended]..lol
Caviar from Vh1's For the Love of Ray J also made an appearance
Young Leek ('Jiggle It'-google him) was also in the building.
All I will say about him is that I had some interesting interaction [almost 'altercation'] with his ''security guard''-[read: cousin]..Lol
I won't even get into why he felt the need to have security....
All in all it was a great event,as most events at Lucky Strikes are-[I highly recommend their happy hour as well]
*Shout out to my folks at Lucky, that granted me VIP access to the event
It was well done.
